COLUMBUS, GEORGIA · FOUNDING SELLERS
Your first real listing.
A good place to start.
Have an available item in your shop or consignment inventory? Create your own account, add your own photograph, and let nearby buyers contact you directly.
New marketplace. Enquiries and sales are not guaranteed.
From your inventory to your first listing
Create or sign in to your account
Choose Start my first listing. Use an available sign-in option, or expand Continue with email, enter a public display name and email, then enter the six-digit code sent to that address. A new email account is created after verification. Use the same sign-in method on the website and in the app.
Use a business or seller name buyers will recognize. Email confirmation shows control of an email address; it is not a business, identity, inventory or ownership check. You must be 18 or older to list.
Photograph the actual item
Use your own clear photograph of the item currently available for sale, with permission to sell it. Include visible wear. Do not copy another seller’s photos or use generated product images.
The listing editor currently accepts one photo per listing: JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB. Check the preview before publishing. If an iPhone photo is HEIC and will not open, export it as JPEG first. Keep people, documents and private address details out of the photo.
Photos are processed to remove metadata and screened for harmful content before storage. A preview alone does not mean the upload has finished.
Choose a category and describe the condition
For furniture, choose Home & more → Furniture. For clothes, shoes or accessories, choose Clothing, shoes & accessories. For toys or other children’s items, choose Home & more → Kids. Describe only facts you can confirm.
- Title: item type, brand if known, and useful size or quantity.
- Condition: choose Like new, Good, Fair or For parts and explain wear, damage, repairs or missing pieces.
- Furniture: add measured dimensions, units and lifting needs.
- Clothing: use the actual label for brand, size, fit and material.
The basic template and Kigo AI draft are optional. Review every statement and replace unknown details before publishing.
Set your price and pickup area
Enter your asking price in USD, including cents if needed. Enter 0 only if the item is free. Choose your own price; KigoLocal does not verify value or guarantee a sale.
Search for your pickup city and state or ZIP, then select a result. Typing alone does not set the location. The public area shows city and state. Keep exact home addresses out of the listing; arrange a public meetup or your business pickup location privately with the buyer.
Review and publish
Check the photo, title, condition, description, price and pickup area. Confirm ownership or permission to sell, then review the Terms and Privacy notice yourself. Select Publish listing and wait for confirmation.
New accounts can publish up to 3 listings in their first 24 hours; photo upload limits also apply. If publishing fails, read the error and correct that step. Do not assume an item is live until you see the publication confirmation and its individual listing link. Manage it in Activity → Your listings.
Optional: after publishing an available photographed item within about 25 miles of Columbus, open Founding Columbus Sellers and choose whether to join. Up to 50 places are available; joining permits a public profile feature. A badge recognizes participation, not verification or endorsement.
Reply to buyers and arrange pickup
Buyers open your listing and choose Message the seller. Read and reply in Messages (also available through Activity). Agree on availability, price and pickup details directly. A pickup request is an arrangement, not a payment or completed sale.
Check Messages even if no email or phone alert arrives. In Account → Check email delivery, send yourself a test and check Inbox and Spam. Enable device notifications separately if wanted. After a real handoff, mark the item sold in Activity.
For a genuine delivery check, ask a trusted person with their own account to message your real listing and confirm both sides can read the replies. Treat that as a test, not a customer enquiry or sale.
Start with one item you actually have.
You do not need to buy advertising or join the founding program to publish a listing. Invitations are invitations—not confirmed sellers or business partnerships. Public founding profiles come from eligible sellers who choose to join.
Stuck on a step?
My sign-in code has not arrived
Look for notifications@kigolocal.com in Inbox and Spam / Junk. Use the latest code. After the resend button becomes available, request a new code or correct the address with Use another email. Do not send anyone your code.
My photo or listing was rejected
Use a supported image under 10 MB, check that it opens in the preview, and read the error. Screening can make mistakes. Ask for help if the item is allowed; do not repeatedly upload the same photo. New accounts have a daily upload limit.
I cannot join the founding program
Finish email verification and publish an active listing with a photo and an eligible pickup ZIP first. The signup screen checks readiness and remaining places. You can still list under the current no-fee policy without a founding badge.
Help with your first listing
Open Founding Columbus Sellers and choose Request help with my first listing. Sign in, describe where you are stuck, review, and submit the private request. Check replies in Support inbox. Support is asynchronous; no response time is promised.
Share only where invited
After publishing, use Share this listing to copy its individual link. Ask permission before posting to community groups or displaying a flyer at a business. Nothing is sent automatically.
